It retails for $25 for 0.32 oz, which isn’t a bad price considering that the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick retails for $46 for 0.25 oz. This foundation is described as a “highly pigmented, buildable cream formula that leaves a natural matte finish.” Unlike some stick foundations that are better suited for drier skin types, this one is formulated for normal to oily skin. Kudos to the ABH team for looking out for us WOC – we see y’all! For the first time in a while I can see five shades that are darker than me, which is a big deal especially for a non-Black Owned Makeup Brand. It is currently available in 28 shades (I say currently because Norvina is apparently working to expand the shade range!), and I see at least 10 that cater to women of colour. The first thing that drew me to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation was the colour selection: not only did they consider that WOC come in different shades, they also took into consideration that we have a variety of undertones as well. But don’t be fooled like I was, depending on the formulation of a stick foundation, you can find one suitable for your skin type and climate. I’m actually a newbie to the stick foundation world as I’ve been a bit skeptical to try them because I assumed that the creamy texture of a stick foundation would not hold up in the heat and humidity of Jamaica. Stick foundations are definitely a new craze taking over the beauty world: from Makeup Forever to Hourglass, gurus are raving about them. Bring down onto the neck area if needed for colour continuity.Hey loves! You guys know I’m always on a hunt for a new foundation and wanting to try the latest ones, so of course when I saw that Anastasia Beverly Hills (one of my FAVE brands) was finally coming out with one I just had to try it.
